We also have done quite well in Tranche #1 of the 2017 International Wine Challenge winning Silver medals for the “Methode Cuve” Pinot Rose Sparkling as well as for our 2016 “Separe” Gruner Veltliner. The 2016 “Separe” has just been released at our cellar door, so don’t forget to try it when you are there next. This wine was officially classified as “bloody delicious” by a group particularly vinous bods we know and is the perfect drink while we are still in summer mode.

Pink Goes Gold

Our “Methode Cuve” Pinot Noir Rose NV did very well at the recent Adelaide Hills Wine show winning a Gold Medal in the sparkling class. It was one of only 3 golds awarded to the 45 wines entered. Sadly, we were pipped at the post for the trophy on the day, but we were really pleased with the result and judge’s comments. The 2010 “Methode Traditionelle” was no slouch either winning a very creditable Bronze in the same class. Always nice to get a little bling.

2016 'Sirocco' Chardonnay

Adelaide Hills does what you might call 'silky Chardonnay' exceedingly well. White peach, green melon, lime, struck match, vanilla, cashew. Medium bodied, smooth and silky, with just the right amount of white peachy fruit, green olive savoury and spiced oak, fine acidity, light flinty texture and a cool lime-laced finish of super length - 94 points.
